Terms of Use
Plain terms for an open library: read freely, cite honestly, and test everything.
Effective July 10, 2026
Using the site
GodScholar is a free study library. You are welcome to read, link to, and quote from the site for personal study, teaching, and scholarship. You may not scrape the site wholesale, misrepresent its content as your own, or use it in a way that disrupts the service for others.
Content and copyright
Scripture on this site is presented in public-domain translations (such as the King James Version and the Bible in Basic English), as is classic commentary (such as Matthew Henry). Original writing, curation, and design are © GodScholar. Quoted scholars and embedded media remain the property of their respective owners, and audio recordings of talks and debates are presented as episodes of the Cold & Lonely Truth podcast.
Affiliate disclosure
As an Amazon Associate, GodScholar earns from qualifying purchases made through book links. Recommendations are curated on merit; the affiliate program simply helps keep the library free.
External links and embeds
The site links to and embeds material from third parties (podcast hosts, ministries, publishers). We choose sources carefully but do not control them, and a link is not an endorsement of everything a source has ever said.
No warranty
The site is provided “as is.” We work hard for accuracy in matters of history, scholarship, and citation, but we make no warranty that the site is free of errors or interruptions, and we are not liable for decisions made in reliance on it.
Changes
We may revise these terms as the site grows; the effective date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance.
